The 2022 report of the Lancet Countdown on health and climate change

The 2022 report of the Lancet Countdown on health and climate change: health at the mercy of fossil fuels - The Lancet

“Published annually, the Lancet Countdown on health and climate change is an international, multidisciplinary collaboration, dedicated to monitoring the evolving health profile of climate change, and providing an independent assessment of the delivery of commitments made by governments worldwide under the Paris Agreement.”

It seems to me an impressive compendium of the scientific information available on the subject. It has 43 indicators, divided into the following categories:

  1. Health hazards, exposures, and impacts
  2. Adaptation, planning, and resilience for health
  3. Mitigation actions and health co-benefits
  4. Economics and finance
  5. Public and political engagement

This is great material for Zeit-Talks. I’ve put it in my queue of subjects.
