Too bad we can’t ask Jacque Fresco anymore why he focused so much on monorails in his city designs.
One reason why monorail is used in TVP city design might be due to this stratification that architects might use when planning public transit:
- Roads: They use roads to offer a way for the Ultra Cars to travel, but those cars are pretty rare, so why make road infrastructure along rails when you can make wider pedestrian zones?
- Monorail: Used for in-city transit or in-complex transit.
- Maglev: Used for inter-complex transit.
- Vacuum Maglev: Used for inter-continental transit.
