Onze maatschappij wordt geconfronteerd met meervoudige complexe uitdagingen: de Covid-19 pandemie, klimaatverandering, biodiversiteitsverlies, de woon- en stikstofcrises. De reactie vanuit overheid, bedrijfsleven en samenleving lijkt vooral reactief en op stabiliteit gericht: het ontbreekt aan visie en strategie om de grote transities waar we voor staan proactief in te gaan.
We maken ons nu voor kabinetsformatie op. Zoals verwoord door Derk Loorbach staat de maatschappij daarmee “voor de keuze voor een tussencoalitie of een transitiekabinet”. Die keuze betreft meer dan de een nieuwe bestuursstijl: het gaat om een keuze voor duurzaamheid op de lange termijn, maatschappelijke vernieuwing en een sturingsfilosofie om die te realiseren.
