Everything has become commodified under Market Society, devaluing everything we hold dear. Words, ideas, art, culture, nature, love...nothing is sacred. People are becoming sociopathic and pathological because we don’t “value” anything. Everything is bought and paid for. Nothing is inherently sacred or important...we are losing all true, tangible value. All of our social interactions are becoming commodified. Our material living is becoming commodified. Sex is commodified. A person, resource, or action's value is tied to how much money can be made from it, otherwise it does do not have value or relationship to the economic order.
