Climate change threatens life expectancy (especially when under 40)

Some news articles point at the decrease of life expectancy due to COVID. Meanwhile we’re slowing moving towards a climate disaster. Can we really blame society for thinking in the short term and being reactive? One could argue that our economy is teaching us this short term thinking for personal gains from childhood. Time to change that, and think in long term effects for nature and in effect also humanity. A new socioeconomic system may be needed for that, one that takes into account what we actually have on this planet and how long it takes to renew these resources.
